The ECUMaster EMU Classic is a versatile wire-in engine management system designed to control all aspects of modern petrol engines. It offers strong feature depth, high reliability, and excellent value for money, making it suitable for both performance road cars and motorsport applications.

Engine control capability

The EMU Classic supports a wide range of engine configurations and control strategies:

  • Support for 1 to 12 cylinder engines
  • Sequential, semi-sequential, or batch fuel injection
  • Passive or active ignition coils, software selectable
  • Maximum engine speed up to 16,000 RPM

Hardware and platform

Built using modern electronics and software architecture, the EMU Classic delivers strong processing capability in a compact and robust ECU enclosure.

  • Integrated 400 kPa MAP sensor

  • Built-in wideband lambda controller (Bosch LSU 4.2)

  • 4 stepper motor outputs (bipolar or unipolar, 1 A)
  • 2 direct EGT inputs
  • 2 knock sensor inputs
  • 4 digital inputs (VR or Hall, software selectable)
  • 3 dedicated analogue inputs (TPS, CLT, IAT)
  • 4 additional analogue inputs (0–5 V)

Communications

  • USB communication for tuning and configuration, no additional interface required
  • CAN bus communication available via external CAN module
  • Drive by wire support available via external module

Data logging

Software

The EMU Classic is configured using ECUMaster software and supports multiple tuning strategies including speed density, alpha-N, and alpha-N map.
