The Link G4X AtomX is a compact wire in engine management system designed for simple engine builds that require reliable control without unnecessary complexity. It is ideal for naturally aspirated or mild forced induction engines that only need core tuning functionality.
Engine Control Capability
The G4X AtomX supports basic fuel and ignition strategies and can run:
- Up to 4 cylinders with sequential injection and direct spark
- Up to 2 rotors with sequential injection and direct spark
- Up to 8 cylinders using batch fire injection
Hardware and Platform
Built on the G4X platform, the AtomX uses the same processing hardware as the rest of the G4X range. It offers faster communications and expanded data logging compared to its G4+ predecessor.
- Upgraded processor and higher bandwidth
- 512 MB onboard data logging
- Compact sealed enclosure
Inputs and Outputs
The AtomX provides essential I O for basic engine control. It is intentionally limited to keep installation simple and cost effective.
- 4 injector outputs
- 4 ignition outputs
- 4 auxiliary outputs
- 2 digital inputs
- 3 analogue inputs
- 2 temperature inputs
- 2 trigger inputs
- Onboard knock control
Communications
- USB tuning connection
- Single CAN bus support
- Upgraded communications hardware
Data Logging
- 512 MB onboard data logging
- Up to 250 logging channels
- Maximum total logging rate of 100 kSamples per second
Software
The AtomX runs on Link PC Link software and includes all standard tuning features. For applications requiring advanced motorsport functions such as traction control or anti lag, consider the G4X StormX or higher.
Use Case Positioning
The AtomX is best suited to entry level builds where reliability and simplicity are more important than advanced feature support.
